Increased security through extended monitoring of your systems by checking whether credentials are still valid
After changing the logon credentials (user names or passwords) of your systems, you quickly forget the following: Transfer the changes in the configuration of OPMONis. This will lead to problems with automatic shutdown of the systems. In the future you can prevent this danger by activating automatic system monitoring.
Access data is checked once a day at the specified time or, if desired, directly by clicking on the “Run Now” button. You will receive the results of the check by mail to the stored mail address and also in the OPMONis event view.
Please note that for sending mails the notification by mail must be activated and the mail server settings must be configured correctly.
More freedom by automatic startup of your systems when the power is back
Until now OPMONis only supported the automatic shutdown of your systems. However, several of our customers are faced with the situation that due to an unreliable power supply, power failures of several hours each occur several times a day. These customers requested that not only the safe shutdown but also the reliable startup of their systems is supported by OPMONis.
This function can now be activated under UPS Monitoring. For this purpose the corresponding battery charging level and/or the remaining battery time in minutes must be specified. If the corresponding threshold value is exceeded, the systems will be started in the reverse order as set in the configuration.
Extended control during shutdown with the new configuration of timeouts
Our customers have repeatedly pointed out to us that the shutdown of certain systems takes longer than 120 seconds. Although the systems were shut down as requested, error messages were still generated in the OPMONis log. To avoid these error messages in the future, the waiting time can now be set individually per system.
At the “System Management” you can now set the waiting time for each system. By default this is set to 2 minutes (120 seconds).
More comfort due to automatic archiving of the last 50 configurations
As an administrator you surely know this problem, you only change a small setting of your configuration. And hours later you realize: “nothing works anymore”. In the hustle and bustle of daily operations, you haven’t had the time to write down the changes you made in your documents, so you are faced with the question: What did I change?
To prevent this annoying and time-consuming problem, OPMONis v2 now perfoms an automatic archiving of the last 50 configurations.
Detailed instructions for restoring an archived configuration will follow shortly!
Full flexibility through the new additional subscription license model
In addition to the existing offer of perpetual licenses you can now purchase OPMONis v2 as a subscription license model. This significantly increases your flexibility in terms of payment and usage time. And of course you will always have access to the latest OPMONis version.
You have the choice between a monthly and an annual payment method. And you can also save money if you choose the annual payment method.
